ABOUT ME
I was 10 years old when I started my first editing gig by hooking up two VCRs to cut the commercials out of my favourite TV shows. Some time after that, I started finding a few folks to trust me with their own projects, and here I am now with over 20 years' experience crafting feature films and series. Funny how that happens.
My narrative film work includes comedy, horror, drama and science fiction which have been featured at film festivals around the world. I’ve been recognized five times at the Canadian Cinema Editors Awards, including a nomination for Best Editing in a Feature Film for the Sci-Fi Drama REMEMORY (Peter Dinklage, Sundance 2017). And I’ve been nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards for editing, including for the feature films NIKA & MADISON (World Premiere TIFF 2025), and THE CUBAN (2020).
In television, I have edited comedies and dramas for networks and international streaming services including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more. Some of my recent favorites include two seasons of Netflix’s global hit XO KITTY and the madcap half-hour comedy DAVEY & JONESIE’S LOCKER (Hulu). I also had great fun editing episodes of the Emmy- and BAFTA-winning PBS series ODD SQUAD, as well as series and specials for Amazon, BBC, CBC, PBS, TV5 (France), and NHK (Japan).
I taught editing at Sheridan’s Advanced Television and Film program and served as Vice-President of the Canadian Cinema Editors (CCE) from 2018-2022. I’m currently on the board of TEMPO International Film Editors’ Federation, a global organization that represents 37 countries and over 8000 editors worldwide.
Through my company Fast Hat Films, I provide development, editorial, and post-production consultation services for both scripted and documentary projects.
I speak English and French, and I love to travel for work whenever I can.
